Saving Stars

The day is longing for the Moon, the Moon is longing for the day.

Even the time-saving pastor can’t have them sent back to their Sunday school.

They kiss until one of them fades dead in the white embraces of Mother Spring.

A star, then two, and a whole illuminating way, are born. They shine above till dawn.

Because their parents live in the eternal cycle of the orbiting skies.

The way you describe the sun and moon reminds me of the curse between Nevarre and Ladyhawke – one of my favorite movies. 💕

Two young lovers. The pope was in love with the woman and was very jealous of her relationship with Navarre. So the pope cursed them. He is a wolf by night, and she is a hawk by day. “Forever together, always apart.”
